With over 15 years of experience working in a variety of planning, policy and development-focused roles, Kristy's professional expertise spans from high-level policy development to site-specific planning solutions.
Kristy works with public and private sector clients, leading and supporting planning and development projects. As a Professional Planner, her primary focus is on achieving the best possible planning outcomes for clients and the community. Beyond project work, she is passionate about advancing the planning profession—mentoring fellow planners, helping them excel in their careers, and fostering a culture of continuous growth and excellence in the field.

 Kate Wang, Assistant PlannerÂ
Kate Wang is an Assistant Planner with a background in municipal planning, development approvals, and community engagement. She is completing a Master of Environmental Studies in Planning at the University of Waterloo and holds a Master of Education from Brock University.
Kate has experience supporting development review, zoning and minor variance applications, and redevelopment projects for public and private clients. She also brings a strong foundation in research and outreach, gained through work with municipalities and community organizations. At Capacity Urban, Kate contributes to planning and development files, helping clients navigate approvals while integrating sustainable and inclusive approaches.
